SOLUTION TO LAST MONTH'S PUZZLER
The important clues come from Alice and the Mad Hatter. Alice points out that "para-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde is dactylic tetrameter!" The Mad Hatter confirms her observation: "PA-ruh-dy-METH-il-a-MEE-noh-ben-ZAL-duh-hide!" (The dormouse then makes the same point with his laconic observation, "DISH-wa-sher, DISH-wa-sher, DISH-wa-sher, DISH-wa-sher!")
Thus the answer is: Everything on the Red Queen's list of chemical formulas and household appliances CAN be set to music.
