Dear Symmetra:
My main squeeze and I have been together for two years. I want to get married. She is resistant to the idea. What can I do?
D.B.
In any couple, it’s not unusual for one member to have higher resistance than the other. Here’s one simple way to gauge your honey’s resistance. In a linear conductor,
R = R 0 [1 +
( T - T0)]
where R is the resistance at temperature T, and R0 is the resistance at initial temperature T0.
Don’t forget that seasonal temperature can have an effect on passion. Factor that into the calculation, then assess your potential. Ultimately, if the potential is high enough, I bet you’ll overcome the resistance!
