Exhalations from our readers
Obsessed With Wieners
Allow me to mention, doubtless along with dozens of other immature readers, a research paper you failed to cite in your special Wiener issue (AIR 8:4): “The Extended Wiener Index,” X.H. Li, Chemical Physics Letters, vol. 365, 2002, pp. 135-9. Thank you for your consideration.

Mel and Al and
Great-Granddad
Thank you for publishing all those historical photographs of Mel. My great-grandfather was not only a contemporary of Einstein (which was not surprising considering that he was born the same year as Einstein), but actually knew him and met him many times. Here is a photograph of my great-grandfather (he is in back of the person standing 27th from the left) and my grandfather and Albert Einstein, and some other people. And guess who is standing just behind my grandfather? It’s Mel!
Sleep Research Plea
I am conducting research on people who fall asleep while watching black-and-white movies but do not fall asleep while watching color movies. Do any of your readers have any data that might be pertinent?
